Chad the Juggler created more swingin' Tiki Bar TV Icons for Mac.

Use your computer mouse to "navigate" the "cursor" over the image below. Then press down on the left button of your mouse*. The file will leave our computer and come over to your computer. Please don't take the file if it's the only one left.

What do you mean "not the right button"?  There is only one; Lord Jobs made it so.

The mighty mouse has two virtual buttons... it can tell if you're clicking on the left or right side of the nipple. Actually technically it has no buttons, since it has no moving switch.. it's touch sensitive, and the sound you hear comes from a little speaker inside the mouse.

So be sure to pet your mighty mouse, it has feelings too.

Is it true that you can't use it with most popular 3D packages that require you to hold down multiple buttons simultaneously for certain key functionality?  Ie: it only registers the first "button" pressed?

That's also what I heard (along with various other bad things) so I decided not to invest in one.

Logitech MX500, baby -- 2 buttons good, 7 plus a clickable scrollwheel better!

Re: Tiki Bar Icons 2.0

Well very fittingly I actually made all of the Tiki Bar TV Icons with a Mighty Mouse. I love it for some things but not for others.

The main truly badass thing about is the wonderful nipple. When using photoshop zoomed up you can effortlessly scroll along some jaggedy, curvy edge and edit with ease!

But for my work computer I still use my $20 Kensington Elite Pro. 7 programable buttons weighs out the superior scrolling of the mighty mouse.

With the Mighty Mouse, there really isn't much of a need to press more than one button at once because they do things like exposé and dashboard. They are not programable.
Also with the right click you have to make sure to release the left click in order for it to register.

So in summary it all depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to game or if your work could use the efficiency of 7 programable buttons, then don't get mighty mouse.
But if you do a lot of studio editing then mighty mouse just might be the ticket.
Also similar with other cool Apple products you actually do get horny rolling your finger across the nipple. The scrolling is absolutely phenominal.

Hey I wonder why the main page doesn't have the 2.0 icons but the forum does have it? Just curious. It is like our little secret in here:) Truly a hidden Gem I think.

Well I just spent 2 hours making my cube into a tiki bar. Now I am really swankin at work!

Just put the new image in the same directory as the old one.  Tyoe in the new name over the old icon name on the index.html page.  Dino knows all.

Re: Tiki Bar Icons 2.0

still noticed the main site page is just downloading the old icon set...

Oh by the way I think I finally figured out how to do better shadows and how to create drop states to the icon.

A drop state is when you drag something over a folder with a default OSX folder you will see that the icon actually changes. In this case the folder opens.

Eventually I would like to apply this logic to the Tiki Bar TV icons. Maybe for example if you drag a new application ofer the Applications folder, the liquor bottles will uncross and make it look like an explosion in the background.
It will be fun to fiddle with that when I have time:)

Re: Tiki Bar Icons 2.0

Are these icons only available for Mac users?

I downloaded them and then the expander software as well but still get bunk on the icons when I try to display them.

I'm not getting any file extensions whatsoever.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks!

It didn't state that in the "don't read me" notes so I figured that was the strongest possibility.

Re: Tiki Bar Icons 2.0

Oh yeah Sorry for not more clearly specifying the OS version.
Yeah I made XP versions of them but they really suck.
The resolution of Windows icons has much to be desired. By the time the resolution gets lowered and the color is reduce to 32 bit... Well I guess they are cool for PCs but they just don't do the images justice.
OSX icons are 128 x 128 pixels with really good color. Apple's icon format is pretty much total overkill. But it completely rocks for using photos to convert into icons. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my PCs but it just hurts to see the icons get killed on a windows box.
I guess possibly in a later set I can crank out the XP Icon Versions too. Well see...
